The Full Story

From a 5-year-old's daydream to a 28-year-old's experiment

The Childhood Memory

I remember lying in bed at night, staring at the ceiling, thinking about all the people in the world. Billions of them! And I thought: if everyone just gave me one rupee... one dollar... whatever, I'd have SO much money.

But then I'd think... how would I reach them all? Would I knock on every door? Fly to every country? Send letters to every address? Even as a kid, I knew it was impossible. But I loved thinking about it anyway.

It wasn't really about the money (though 5-year-old me would have loved a mountain of cash 😄). It was about the curiosity: Could someone actually reach every person on Earth? How big is our world, really?

Growing Up, Forgetting

Like most childhood dreams, I eventually forgot about it. Life happened. School, college, work, responsibilities. The usual human stuff.

Sometimes the thought would bubble up randomly—usually when I was bored or daydreaming. I'd smile at how silly it was and move on with my day.

The Realization

Fast forward to 28. I'm scrolling through the internet one day (as you do), and it suddenly hits me:

Wait. The internet exists now.

I can reach people globally. This childhood dream that seemed absolutely impossible in the 1990s... might actually be possible now.

Not probable. Not guaranteed. But possible. And that was enough to make me think: Why not try?

What This Is (And Isn't)

This IS:

  • A social experiment in human connection — Can we actually do this unlikely thing together?
  • A test of trust and transparency — Can strangers trust something this weird if it's radically honest?
  • A childhood dream brought to life — Literally testing a thought I had as a 5-year-old
  • A way to see how far curiosity can spread — How many people? How many countries?

This ISN'T:

  • A charity — I'm not pretending this will save the world
  • A scam — Every dollar is tracked, 100% transparent
  • A business — There's no "product" or service here
  • Serious — It's wonderfully absurd and playfully curious

The Questions I'm Curious About

  • Can we actually reach 1 million people? 10 million? More?
  • How many countries will participate?
  • Will people trust something this weird?
  • What happens when childhood dreams meet adult technology?
  • Can radical transparency make people comfortable with an absurd idea?

The Ethical Stance

If $1 means a lot to you right now, please don't contribute.

This only works if it's genuinely pocket change. If you'd think twice about spending $1 on a coffee or snack, then please keep your money. I mean this sincerely.

If you're struggling financially, I'd much rather you save that dollar for something you actually need. This dream is only fun if it doesn't hurt anyone.

The whole point is voluntary, joyful participation—not obligation. ❤️

What Happens Next?

Honestly? I don't know. And that's part of the fun.

Maybe 50 people contribute and think it's cute. Maybe 10,000 people join because it reminds them of their own childhood dreams. Maybe it goes viral and reaches millions. Maybe nobody cares at all.

Whatever happens, we'll figure it out together. If this raises meaningful money, I'll ask contributors to vote on what to do with it:

  • • Donate it to a global cause?
  • • Create a documentary about this social experiment?
  • • Return it proportionally?
  • • Fund something weird and wonderful?
  • • Something else entirely?

The journey is the point. The curiosity. The proof that childhood dreams, no matter how silly, deserve to be chased. 🌍✨

Why Am I Doing This?

Because it's fun. Because I'm curious. Because childhood dreams deserve a chance.

Because in a world full of serious problems and complicated solutions, sometimes it's nice to do something wonderfully absurd just to see what happens.

Because Why not?
