Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you might be wondering about this childhood dream
Is this a scam?
No. Everything is transparent. You can see where every dollar goes on the transparency dashboard. I'm not hiding behind a corporation or fake charity. It's literally just: I had a childhood dream, and I'm trying it. If this seems too weird to trust, that's totally fair—don't participate. No hard feelings.
What do you do with the money?
Right now? Just track it transparently. Every contribution is logged and visible on the transparency page. If this gets big enough to matter, I'll let contributors vote on what to do with it. This is a collective experiment, so we'll decide together.
Why should I trust you?
You shouldn't blindly trust anyone on the internet. That's why everything is transparent. Check the dashboard. Read the manifesto. See how this project operates. If it feels right after doing your research, join. If not, no hard feelings. Trust is earned, not demanded.
Can I give more than $1?
Absolutely! The 'one buck' is symbolic—it's the childhood concept. Give what feels fun to you. $1, $5, $0.50, $20—whatever matches your curiosity level. There's no pressure to give any specific amount.
Can I use other currencies?
Yes! The payment system supports multiple currencies. 'One buck' is just the concept—give the equivalent in your local currency. Whether it's rupees, euros, pounds, or anything else, it all counts.
What if this goes viral?
Honestly? I'll be both thrilled and terrified. And we'll figure it out together. Maybe we create a documentary. Maybe we donate it all. Maybe we build something weird and wonderful. The journey is the point—and if it goes viral, that journey just gets more interesting.
How do I know my contribution counted?
You'll get a confirmation email with a unique transaction ID. You can also watch the live counter on the homepage update (it might take a few minutes to refresh). Your contribution will be logged in the transparent transaction history.
Can I get my money back?
Sure. Email me within 30 days with your transaction ID, and I'll refund it. No questions asked. This is voluntary participation, not a binding commitment.
What happens when you reach your goal?
Which goal? 1 million people? 100 million? Honestly, there's no specific 'end.' This is an ongoing social experiment. We'll see how far curiosity takes us. Every milestone is interesting in its own way—even if we only reach 1,000 people, that's still 1,000 strangers who believed in a childhood dream.
Why are you doing this?
Because it's fun. Because I'm curious. Because childhood dreams deserve a chance. Because in a world full of serious problems, sometimes it's nice to do something wonderfully absurd just to see what happens. Because why not?
Is this legal?
Yes. This is a voluntary contribution project, not a charity or investment scheme. It's similar to crowdfunding or supporting a creative project. All contributions are processed through legitimate payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) with proper security and compliance.
What if I'm not comfortable giving money?
Then don't! Seriously. You can still be part of this by sharing the project with others, telling your own childhood dream story, or just following along to see what happens. Participation doesn't require money—curiosity alone is valuable.
Will you use my personal information?
Only what's necessary for processing your payment (handled securely by payment processors) and sending you a confirmation email. I will never sell or share your data. See the legal page for full privacy policy details.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. If you contribute, you can choose whether to leave your name or stay completely anonymous. The transparency dashboard shows aggregate data and anonymous transaction logs—no personal information is publicly displayed.
What if I have a question not answered here?
Feel free to reach out! You can email (we'll add contact info soon) or check the transparency page for updates and additional information.
